Testing Begins this Week!
Parents,
Please be reminded that ACTAAP testing will begin this week. 4th grade will test Tuesday through Friday. It is VERY important that your child is on time to school each day so that they will be able to test in their familiar enviornment. I ask that you please take a look at the helpful hints below so that you will be "in the know" about what our week will look like!
Also, we will not have any homework this week ONLY! The students will be testing for the majority of each morning. However, please look for Behavior Reports for ticket totals on student behavior!
Testing Tips for Success
1. Encourage your child to do his or her best on the test.
2. Realize that putting too much pressure on your child about testing may cause test anxiety.
3. Talk to your child about how he or she feels about taking the test. Allow them to express their concerns.
4. Ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast each morning of testing.
5. Reassure your child that test scores are just one way to measure their ability.
6. Express a positive attitude to your child.
7. Please MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD IS ON TIME EACH DAY!!!!!!!!
If you have any questions about the testing process, please call me directly at 447-5439, leave a message and I will call you back!
Thanks for all of your support in advance,
Mrs. Pilkington
